Important Information About APIs

There are some important things you should understand about LOU APIs.

  1. You must be on LOU Enterprise. LOU APIs are not available to PRO companies.
  2. There is a monthly $99 fee associated with accessing the LOU APIs.
    1. This will be included on your LOU monthly invoice and billed to your Card on File.
  3. If you plan to use APIs on an eCommerce site that process orders, you must apply for an additional Merchant Account with our Evosus Financial Services Team.
    1. eCommerce requires a special type of Merchant Account that functions differently from your Retail Merchant Account.
    2. This new Merchant Account must be used to process payments through eCommerce.
  4. If you choose to process eCommerce payments with a non-Evosus Payments account, Evosus will charge a 0.75% fee based on the total dollar amount (including shipping, tax, and all other charges) for each transaction to your Card on File.

Ready to Get Started?

Before receiving an API Key there are a few things you must do:

  1. Your developer needs to be approved for access to LOU APIs. They can request access here
  2. Under guidance from your Account Manager, you will go to the API tile in LOU to activate access, select your developer, and set your defaults.
  3. You will have access to a unique API Key and you will provide the key to the developer verbally or through secure means. For security, API Keys should never be emailed as email is not a secure method of sharing data.

Information about the APIs that are available can be found here. This API developer support documentation has everything your developers need. Work with your developer to understand the available APIs and how they can work for your LOU Company. Developers should consult this documentation if they have any questions about APIs. At this time, the LOU support team does not support API development.
