Single Sign-On (SSO) for LOU Web

Single Sign-On, or SSO, is something you may be familiar with already. It is a way to allow you to use credentials from one application to sign into another. This saves you time and allows you to increase security by decreasing the number of passwords you remember.

REMEMBER! Single Sign-On is only for LOU Web. LOU Retail POS and LOU Schedule do not have SSO capabilities.

Options:

1. Use Email

2. Use Google

3. Use Another Method (email-based)

4. Forgot Password

5. Invite New Users to LOU

6. Switch to Google (Your existing user email address is not a Google account)

7. Existing Users Add New LOU Company

8. Wikipedia SSO

Need help with SSO? Check out our Troubleshooting Tips.

When you arrive at lou.evosus.com, you’ll see this sign on page. From here, you have a couple options to sign in. You can use your Email Address or Google if you have a Google account.

IMPORTANT! You must be an active LOU User to sign in with your Email Address or Google. An Admin for your company can invite you to LOU if you are not already an active user.

The Sign Up link at the bottom is for people who want to buy a new instance of LOU. It will not add you to an existing LOU company.

Email Sign-In

You can use your Email Address and Password to sign in to LOU.

  1. Enter your Email Address.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. Enter your Password.
  4. Click Continue.

You should land on the LOU dashboard, ready to slay the day! This will keep you logged in for one hour. If LOU is left idle for an hour, you will need to sign in again.

Sign in with Google

If the Email Address associated with your LOU Account is a Google Address, you can use Google to sign in.

REMEMBER! Your Email Address is a Google Address if you sign into Gmail to access your email.

  1. Click Continue with Google.
  2. The Sign in with Google page will open.
  3. If you are already signed into Google on Chrome, it will offer that Account. You can click that Account or click Use another account to enter a different Email Address.
  4. On the Privacy Agreement page, click Continue.

You’ll end up at the LOU Dashboard, ready to work! This will keep you logged in for one hour. If LOU is left idle for an hour, you will need to sign in again.

REMEMBER! Choosing Google does not remove the option to sign in with an Email Address next time.

Use Another Method

When you have entered your email address, the Password page has a link called Use Another Method. This allows you to choose Sign in with Google, receive an Email link, or receive an Email code.

Forgot Password

When you’ve forgotten your password you can reset it or use one of the other sign in methods.

  1. Reset your password.
  2. Sign in with Google.
  3. Receive a link to your email.
  4. Receive a code to your email.

REMEMBER! If you don’t choose to reset your password, you will have to choose one of these other methods until you either remember the correct password or reset your password.

Force Reset: Force Reset cannot be used to help a user that has forgotten their password. This feature is intended to force a user to update their password, but requires them to successfully log into LOU with their existing password and then LOU will prompt them to go to My Account and reset the password.

Invite New Users

Inviting New Users has not changed. An Admin can go to Setup / Manage Users / Invite User and enter the email address.

Switch to Google Account

LOU doesn’t allow you to update an existing user’s email address. If you were originally invited to a LOU company with a non-Google account and now you want to switch your email to Google so you can use the SSO, you will need to deactivate your current user and invite your Google email address to the LOU company.

Existing Users Add New LOU company

If you are an existing user and you want to buy another database or add a new LOU company, you won't use the Sign Up link. You should log into LOU and follow these steps
