Keeping track of your inventory is an important part of doing business. The Inventory Valuation Report is a useful tool for keeping track of inventory in LOU.
Go to Operations / Reports / Inventory Valuation
You can select the As of Date and filter by Category, Stock Site, and Vendor. Once you’ve set your parameters, click 
. The report will download as an Excel Spreadsheet.
IMPORTANT! When you export to Excel, the data will come over as general text. You will need to change the column type for any columns containing numbers to be numeric in order to use the Sum function.
The resulting report includes several important points of data related to your Inventory, according to the report parameters you set up.
- Vendor
- Stock Site
- Bin
- Category
- SKU
- SKU Description
- Quantity on Hand
- Total Cost
- Unit Cost
- Current Retail Price
- Current Total Retail
- Total Profit
- Profit Margin
Unlike LOU’s Reports, this report is not saved within LOU. However, you can run the report by an As of Date any time you choose.
REMEMBER! The larger your parameters, the bigger your report will be. This may impact performance and cause the report to take a little longer to generate and download.
