New Features

Use Tax: Use Tax is a Tax on Cost that is applicable in some states when the Inventory is used to permanently improve the Customer’s property; or when the Inventory is used for internal company purposes. Check with your Accountant or local Tax Authority if you’re unsure whether you should be calculating and paying Use Tax.
Schedule Dashboard: We’ve significantly redesigned the Schedule Dashboard! Much-improved performance, cleaner overall page layout, and more important Service-related features just a couple clicks away! We know you’re used to the “old” Schedule Dashboard and this will feel like a big change. Don't worry, the major features you’re used to are still available! They may be in a new location.

Feature Changes and Enhancements

Tax Nexus: For clients who sign up after LOU41, a default Tax Nexus will be created for them upon signup. For Everyone, you should periodically review your Tax Nexus setup to ensure all the correct Nexuses are set up. If you do not have the correct Tax Nexus set up for each state in which you do business, the correct Sales Tax will not be calculated or collected.

Bug Fixes

Customer Alias Entry Lag: We corrected an issue that caused lag when entering a Customer Alias.
Customer Sales Totals Report: We corrected an issue with the report that caused inaccurate data to display.
Kits within Kits: We corrected an issue that prevented SKUs in kits that are within a “parent kit” from being processed on the order. Best Practice Recommendation: Avoid nesting Kits within Kits. Instead, add two separate Kits to the Order.
Maryland Tax Nexus Rounding: We corrected an issue that caused negative amount to round differently than positive amounts.
Document Subtotals: We corrected an issue that caused Subtotals added to the SKU box in a Document to calculate incorrectly between multiple Subtotals.
QuickBooks Online Disconnect: We updated the refresh process for the QuickBooks Online integration to help reduce disconnection timeouts between LOU and QuickBooks Online.
Spreadsheet Imports File Types: The default file type in the dropdown is now .xlsx because that is the only accepted file type for spreadsheet templates.
Customer Profile Will Not Load: We corrected an issue that prevented Customer Profiles from displaying when the Ship To Address is a non-manual address, but doesn’t have a verified Address.
Unable to Deactivate Departments: We corrected an issue that prevented deactivation of Departments when all Orders have been removed from the Department.
Personnel Task Type: We corrected an issue that caused the Personnel dropdown to display deactivated Task Types.
Support Users License Count: We corrected an issue that caused LOU Support Users to be counted against License maximums for Pro Plan users. (Maximum 10 Users)
FIFO Transactions Error: We changed the Date Range to a maximum of 6 months on the FIFO Log to reduce errors where there are too many records to display.

FIFO Log – Partial Receive: We corrected an issue that caused FIFO Log posts to display an incorrect Cost when receiving partial inventory.
Kit Comment Printing: We corrected an issue that prevented Comments for Kit SKUs from printing on a Document when they display on the electronic version.
Payment On Account Error: We corrected an issue that caused errors when handling Invoices with a negative amount (Credit On Account/Refund Invoices).
Group Security – Users: We corrected an issue that prevented all Users from appearing for selecting in Group Security during Group creation/management.
Missing AR Beginning Balances – After Go Live: We corrected an issue that caused AR Beginning Balances to apply to incorrect Customers while missing from the correct Customer.
Customer Search – Phone Number: Corrected an issue that prevented Phone Numbers from being searchable with or without area code.
Tax Create/Update Pop-Up: We corrected several issues within the Tax Setup Create/Update Pop-Up.
Deposits on Printed Orders: We corrected an issue that caused Sales Orders to display other released amounts in the Deposits section instead of only Deposits Totals.
Stock Adjust/Transfer Stock Site/Bin Search: We corrected an issue that prevented you from searching for Stock Sites and Bins together in the appropriate dropdowns.
REO Update Schedule Division: We corrected an issue that prevented you from updating the Schedule Division on a Recurring Order Type when Personnel were assigned for that Type.
Estimated Taxes on Printed Document: We corrected an issue that prevented the Estimated Taxes from appearing on a printed Document.
